Do I have to pay anything to join BOOKIVO?

No! BOOKIVO has a FREE plan that lets you publish and earn. Premium (₦5,000/month) and Professional (₦15,000/month) plans are optional upgrades for authors who want advanced features and marketing support. Founding Authors lock in these prices forever.

What does 'featured placement' mean?

Your books will be prominently displayed on the BOOKIVO homepage and explore pages, giving you massive visibility to all readers using the platform. This is exclusive to Founding Authors.

Can I use both Penstribe Publishing and BOOKIVO?

Penstribe Publishing will redirect to BOOKIVO after launch in January 2026. BOOKIVO is the evolution and future—it includes everything Penstribe had, plus much more.

How much do I earn on BOOKIVO?

You keep 85-90% of all earnings from book sales and reader subscriptions. No hidden fees. Transparent pricing.

Do I keep the rights to my books?

Absolutely! You retain 100% ownership and rights to your intellectual property. BOOKIVO is a publishing platform, not a publisher that takes your rights.

Is BOOKIVO only for authors?

No! BOOKIVO is a community for both authors and readers. As a reader, you can discover books, follow authors, create your own Voices (posts), subscribe to your favorite authors, and be part of a vibrant literary community.

Do I have to pay to join BOOKIVO as a reader?

No! BOOKIVO is completely free for readers. You only pay when you choose to buy books or subscribe to specific authors you love.

What's the difference between buying a book and subscribing to an author?

Buying gives you permanent access to one specific book. Subscribing (paid annually) gives you access to ALL the author’s books + exclusive content and updates. It’s for readers who want to support authors long-term.

Can readers create content too?

Yes! Readers can create Voices (posts), share book recommendations, engage with authors, and build their own presence in the community.
