Royalty Payment Policy

Effective Date: June 1, 2025

1. Overview

At Penstribe Publishing House, we believe in rewarding the creativity and dedication of our authors. This Royalty Payment Policy explains how and when authors receive monthly earnings based on the performance of their work on our platform.

2. Who Qualifies

Authors will receive royalty payments provided they meet all of the following during each calendar month:

• Active Listing: At least one book live and in good standing on our platform.
• Policy Compliance: No violations of Penstribe’s publishing guidelines.
• Reader Activity: Recorded views, ratings (must have at least one rating), or engagements (comments, likes).

Note: Sales are not required to earn royalties. As long as your book attracts views, ratings, or comments, you’ll receive a share of the royalty pool—however, confirmed sales will boost your overall earnings.

3. Payment Frequency

• Monthly Payouts: Royalties are calculated at the end of each calendar month and disbursed by the 15th of the following month.
• Notification: Authors receive an email confirmation on the day their payout is processed.

4. How Royalties Are Determined

While our precise internal calculation remains proprietary, the monthly royalty pool is distributed according to each author’s share of overall platform performance, including:

• Reader Traffic & Engagement (page views, comments, likes)
• Average Ratings & Reviews
• Confirmed Ebook Sales

Your individual payout reflects the proportion of total performance metrics you contributed during the month.

5. Payment Methods

Payouts are made via your registered payment method:

• Bank Transfer: Direct deposit to a local bank account (in ₦).
• Digital Wallet: Transfer to a compatible e‑wallet, where available.

Please ensure your payment details are current and accurate to avoid any delays.

6. Integrity & Fair Play

To maintain a fair environment:

• Fraud Prevention: Any attempt to manipulate views, ratings, or engagement may result in disqualification or withholding of royalties.
• Confidentiality: Specific calculation details and pool amounts are proprietary and will not be disclosed.

7. Manual Review & Appeals

• Review Process: All royalties are reviewed by our Publishing Team to ensure accuracy.
• Appeals: If you believe there is an error, submit inquiries or disputes within 30 days of receiving your payment notification to royalties@penstribepublishing.com.

8. How to Maximize Your Royalty Earnings

While natural engagement and sales drive your earnings, you can actively increase your share of the royalty pool by:

1. Publishing More Titles
   • Each additional book expands your opportunity to earn.
2. Driving Traffic
   • Promote your book’s link on social media, blogs, newsletters, and author networks.
3. Encouraging Engagement
   • Invite readers to leave comments or “like” your book page.
4. Soliciting Ratings & Reviews
   • A higher average rating and volume of reviews boost your performance score.

5. Marketing for Sales
   • Special promotions, discounts, or pre‑order campaigns can convert readers into buyers—sales contribute the highest weight in our performance formula.

9. Policy Updates

This policy is reviewed regularly and may be updated as needed. Authors will be notified of any changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
